Pizza, Chocolate Muffins, and . . . Grapes

We've officially survived over 72 hours - just 12 more to go.

Susan went back to Provo to be a college student again for a few days (she actually went to an LDS Storymakers Conference with an old roommate) and gave me the opportunity to father AND mother the 4 kiddos.

Actually, the kids have stepped up and taken on the mothering task more than I have - doing dishes, laundry, and general cleaning. We also survived trips as a family (minus mommy) to Costco, ToysRus and Denny's. In this process the kids have learned how to run the washer/dryer and dishwasher, fold laundry, and clean-up without mommy doing it with/for them! Hopefully she'll be ready and willing to accept some of the changes we've made to our household (she'll have to give up on dishwasher efficiency, perfectly folded laundry, and the blank wall where I hung the new job whiteboard)!

As evidenced by the post title, the one thing we haven't mastered is the cooking/food - we look forward to her return and mad cooking/kitchen skills so we can enjoy homemade cooking and save money again! We'll even do the dishes and laundry in exchange for more cooking (or time with her since she now has another love)!
