Tile and Makeup

This is Heather's friend, Kylie

After the playground at the school, we took Toby home for naptime, then went in the Mini to David's house to see their new tile, countertops, and backsplash. We ate Sonic at the park across from Dave's house, played on their playground (TJ said it was the best day ever, because they went to two parks), and then played with Ruby's toys. David tried to fly his airplane in the park, it just kept crashing. We were lucky enough to see Ruby right after she had put on some of her new makeup!

New Year's Eve Eve Daddy Time

Before 8 AM on Saturday we were putting together some more lego sets that Santa left. We had to set up in the garage 'cause mommy wanted to clean up downstairs, and upstairs there wasn't anywhere that Toby was "allowed" to be (TJ's room is off limits to his little brother).
Jose is working on the balcony on the back of our house - he got lots of the framing done on Saturday, and is going to keep working on it on Tuesday. We're excited! We'll finally be able to enjoy the nice view from the back of our house.

We went on a bike ride once the lego castle was built. The park at the school is one of their favorite destinations. Heather's friend, Kylie, was there with her grandma and her little sister, Lexie. Their mom just had another baby girl - another Sadie. Toby drove a radio controlled truck around the basketball court, TJ and Heather played on the slides and swings, and I crashed my flying boat/airplane that Santa brought me and broke a wing off. It should be fixable and was fun while it lasted. I also had a blast using the "loudest bike horn in the world" that Santa brought me for the bike.

Girls' night out

Susan's gift to the other women in the family was tickets to see the professional ballet version of "The Nutcracker" in downtown Phoenix. So after eating at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's, the women took off (with multiple maps) and the men started putting the kids to bed right away.

David "attempting" to control his daughter's excitement over the magnets and get her off of the table.

Vroom vroom!

Toby calls cars "vroom vrooms." The ride on car in the pics is what David and Sally got us in the sibling gift rotation this year. All 3 kids love it and are learning how to take turns taking rides - as seen in the progression of pics with Heather and Toby.

TJ just avoids conflict by finding something else to play with - in this case a radio controlled car from 2 Christmases ago - problem is, now Toby likes that too and TJ has to share with him each time he charges up the battery - good thing he is a great older brother.

Pitter patter . . . "Heather, Heather . . . look who was here!"

Christmas morning TJ was the first one up - I woke up when I heard the motor from his "armitron" motorized arm. Then he and Heather were "whispering" (their whispers are pretty loud) about the toys Santa left (unwrapped) for them. Heather is thrilled with her new, tall, doll house and TJ has been piloting his aircraft carrier with a real flying helicopter and airplanes that launch from the deck, no matter how cold it is in the backyard. Heather threw his remote control in the spa last night while we were all soaking, so now the airplanes launch whenever you turn the remote on - good thing the airplanes float! Toby got up about an hour and a half after everyone else - and I was already done taking pics (and probably back asleep myself) - good thing we get more pics of Toby usually anyways - plus he had a bad case of bed head with bugars and snot keeping it sticking straight out :)

Cousins

I got to have my cousins that were in town come over on Saturday night with their parents and have a cousins party :) We ate chimichungas and some YUMMY tamales from Tia Rosa's (yes, Mom - I like the green corn tamales, no matter what Dad says).

We ate, then watched the "World's Strongest Man Competition" on TV (instead of the projector outside, because, 1. It was cold! and 2. The foundations for the new patio/balcony are sticking out of the ground)

Donut Delivery Time

Donut making was on Saturday, Dec 23. It went fairly quick even though we didn't have as many helpers. They've lasted a while too, since we don't have as many eaters :)

We delivered the majority of the donuts via bike - Heather had to keep her legs up so they would all fit on the bike platform. TJ and Heather took turns running the donuts up to people's front door. If no one was home, we kept the bag of donuts for the next house, since we've learned it is a waste of donuts to leave them out in the (Arizona) cold - Heather says "they turn into rocks!" Lots of people weren't home, so they missed out on donuts this year!

Sarah Ray came over Saturday night for the family get together and rode the donut delivery bike as a "Donut Policewoman". Posted by Picasa

Donut making crew!

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen came over and brought with them aprons for everyone to wear while making donuts (they brought everything else for making donuts, too! - Including Heather and TJ who spent the night in Grandma's grandkid room)
