Koolaid .50!

Heather and TJ think 80 degrees (Heather researched the weather first thing this morning) will be hot enough to attract customers to their Koolaid stand today. It's freshly made and Heather says they've had 2 customers already! Come on by and get some! They're hoping the newness factor will last more than just a few minutes and they're testing the concept for future shaved ice/snow cone sales when it gets a little warmer (so let us know if you'd be interested so Heather can do some advance advertising for their limited run Saturday sales)!

Sensitivity Training Monster Jam Style

So maybe it wasn't such a good idea to point out the big white school bus in the middle of the field as soon as we sat down. Once the lights went red and the noise started for the introductions, Toby kinda lost it. I thought it was the 2 yr old being dragged up the aisle who was screaming "I don't wanna be here" or maybe TJ going into his famous fetal position (he can still get his knees all the way up to his chin) and plugging his ears that allowed Toby to decide he wanted to go home and SCREAM for his MOMMY! I tried to pacify him with food, ear plugs, or even a bribe of a toy - but he was hysterical and each time a truck revved he screamed louder. So we left. $70 total in parking, water, tickets, and ear plugs and I didn't see a single monster truck race. Once home he told Susan the reason - he didn't want to see the school bus get crashed . . . we'll see if he gets on his school bus tomorrow morning ;)

Weekend Warriors with Great Weather!

The kiddos did a great job playing outside on Saturday. Toby loves riding the pink big wheel through the rocks and up and down the hills (he's tough enough to not worry about being seen on a pink bike). TJ uses the motor going uphill and coasts down the biggest hills in the neighborhood that he can find. He also gives Heather and Toby rides. Heather does jumps and spins on the scooter, but mostly looks for excuses to read books while sitting in the tree, make fairy houses out of nature's pieces, or get TJ to take her to her friend's house.

Toby imitated Jose putting up the mount for the tv by getting all of his tools out - thank goodness Toby's tools couldn't cut away the drywall like Jose was doing ;)

Donut Day

Traditional donut day was delayed this year (usually it is Christmas Eve or the Saturday before Christmas) so that the homemade (artery clogging, gas-producing) yummy treats could be served at my baby brother's wedding reception (he was married last weekend at the San Diego Temple).

We got some of the leftovers last night, so, since we're not delivering this year, feel free to come by and get some - we can't/shouldn't eat all of them!

Oh, and Toby doesn't get anymore - this morning he said "I want donuts from a box!"
