Family History - putting it all in perspective

Hey, mom (and everyone else), look what I found: http://www.footnote.com/page/440/jesse-warren-clement
It's kinda cool to "google" ancestor names and find stuff like this - about a great great grandpa moving to Mesa and travelling via San Fran right after the big earthquake in 1906 (I know you've told us that story before) and a great great great grandpa that died here in Mesa on Nate's bday back in 1917! If you need some names to google, go to familysearch.org! The other fun thing to do is to use google earth or google maps to see the different places listed for birth/marriage/death for our ancestors. Just investigating these simple facts puts our lives into perspective about what is really important!

I hope that you have taken some time to read Warren Foote's journal. He is very close to his nephew, Darius Salem Clement. Darius' mother, Betsy Foote Clement, died at Winter Quarters. Her daughter, Nancy, was a wife of George A. Smith. Nancy and her baby also died at Winter Quarters. George A. Smith took Betsy's orphaned children with him across the plains to SLC. We then find Darius working with Warren at a mill in Fort Union. This may have been when is learned to be a miller. Later when Warren is in Glendale and Darius in Fairview, they correspond a great deal and work together on doing temple work for family members.
