Summerlin Park

Heather was thrilled when some little girls came out of ther houses to play on the playground. She announced from the top of the structure that "I wish I had sisters instead of brothers" when she saw the girls coming to play. She instantly made friends and shared all the toys we had brought as well as her gatorade. TJ played baseball with me and enjoyed throwing the ball on top of the canopy and watching it roll back down. Toby enjoyed climbing around and did a great job getting stuck at the top of different climbs.

race day

This is our only pet - a turtle in the spa.

This was a 20 lap p-shaped race. TJ won, Heather was 10 laps back, and I think Toby ended up going backwards.















TJ was bummed that Heather was already done swimming and didn't want to get in to help him make a whirlpool in the spa by running in circles.

Pirates

TJ, Toby and I went to Red Mountain Park on Friday evening for Brian Gardner's 5th birthday party. The Gardners came all the way from Maricopa to have the party since their family and friends are mostly in Mesa. We had yummy tostadas and even got to watch 'Ballet Under the Stars' by the Arizona Ballet. Toby really liked the dancing and the music, but Brian wasn't happy when we teased him about his 'princess' party. He let us know it was a pirate party. Toby ate lots of chips and salsa and some very colorful birthday cake. TJ ate chips and candy and ice cream. They were pretty cute pirates.
Heather went to Kylie's birthday party on Friday evening and Susan stayed home and cleaned house since we were all gone. She knows how to have a good time :)

Saturday - Susan's new camera takes some good underwater pics. It is alot cooler in the water now - TJ needed the towel and the warm deck to help his skinny body warm up. He also made me turn on the spa heater. Susan went to the RS Women's conference, so me and the kids played in the pool, garage, and park.

So - the weather has changed (meaning below 100 for MOST of the day) and everyone is commenting how nice it is outside. We took advantage on Friday afternoon and did some outside stuff we haven't been able to do since April.
